Lita loves to play lifeguard when Stache is in the pool. She runs around the edges barking like a mad woman, it’s almost like she’s screaming “YOU’RE GONNA DROWN YOU IDIOT!”. Stache gets moody when Lita tries to tell him what to do, he’s a big boy after all. 😂😂😂
Our good friend @paco_and_shelby made this adorabull heart nose edit of Stache, IM IN LOVE! 😍😍😍😍
Happy Tongue Out Tuesday! 😝
Beebs had a blast exploring all of the open fields, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so happy 😍
This one particular horse followed Lita everywhere. Beebs was bowing trying to get the horse to play and as soon as the horse would let out a huff noise Lita went running 😂😂😂.
Lita made friends with some horses today 💗
Happy Monday from Stache! 😴😂
Puppy Love 🐶💗
(Yes, that’s Beebs’ head being used as Stache’s pillow 😂)
🎀PLEASE SHARE PRINCESS! 👑She has been in the shelter for around 5 YEARS all together! She arrived at 10 weeks and is now 7 years. Let’s help Princess find a happy ever after!
A Princess Tale
This tiny brindled girl arrived at just 10 weeks old. Abandoned. A theme that would continue throughout her life. She got adopted almost immediately by a family that promised to love her forever. But as it turned out, forever would be just over 1 year. They brought home a new puppy that Princess did not get along with and so they returned her.
Princess waited several months as most Pit Bulls do, until a local dog trainer noticed her intense ball drive. She was given a variety of tests to see if she just might be a good police dog candidate, and she passed them all with flying colors. Yes, Princess was accepted into a very special training program where she learned how to detect bombs. Princess reached a 95% accuracy rate, but unfortunately, she needed to be at 98% to be placed and ended up back at the shelter again.
More months passed by, but then she was adopted by the perfect adopter. He was active and enjoyed the outdoors just like Princess. Trips to the park and hiking were I am sure the best times she had ever known. But then he had to move in with friends a year after adopting Princess and was unable to keep her there. Heartbroken, he returned Princess to the shelter again.
And here she has remained. She is loved by so many volunteers and shelter staff. It is only because of their unwavering love of this remarkable girl that she has been able to emotionally withstand the continued disappointment she has endured in her 7 years. She loves her toy Squrple and often sleeps with it. She plays basketball and loves the agility equipment in our play yard. Her athleticism and intelligence are unmatched except for the love and loyalty she has to offer. She is a true Princess as she loves to play dress up and pose for pictures. And we must warn you that she is kind of a big deal with her own FaceBook page and over 3,300 friends! www.facebook.com/PrincessHSHC
